A website is rarely just an online portfolio for photographers. It becomes a part of the artist's work. It becomes a part of the artist's work. In this case, the client wanted a space that felt purposeful, polished and immersive without being too much for the images themselves.
It quickly became clear during the first talks that the website couldn't look like a standard template. The client wanted a custom photography website design that would feel elevated while still keeping the experience simple for visitors moving through the work.

The challenge with this project was knowing where to hold back.
When designing a photography website, one has to take care not to do too much since excess design can detract from the content rather than enhance it. The objective here was to strike a balance whereby the images could speak for themselves while ensruing the website offers a pleasant user experience.
This custom website was designed using WordPress, where there is enough room for each collection of pictures yet still providing a user-friendly interface that encourages the visitor to browse through the gallery. Each aspect of the website, down to image placement and typography, was carefully thought out in order for the whole thing to look coherent without distracting from the pictures.
Since the client places great importance on aesthetics, even the minutiae were vital components of the process. This resulted in the creation of a professional, subtle, and more appropriate WordPress website for the client.
